Copyright clearance is the process of obtaining permission from the copyright holder to use copyrighted materials, such as text, images, music, or videos, for a specific purpose. This is often necessary when using content in publications, presentations, or commercial products to ensure legal compliance and avoid infringement. The process typically involves identifying the copyright owner, requesting permission, and sometimes paying a fee or agreeing to specific terms of use. Proper copyright clearance protects both individuals and organizations from legal disputes and financial penalties.

Additionally, staying updated on copyright laws and utilizing reliable databases or clearance agencies can help streamline the process and reduce delays.
