Position Title: Communications Associate

Position Type: 12-month, full-time, Monday–Friday (8-hour shift, with occasional to frequent overtime on evenings and weekends)

Salary Range: $25 - 32/hour

Position Summary

Eaglebrook School is seeking a Communications Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated communicator who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. The Communications Associate writes accurate and engaging content for our school website, social media, and print materials; keeps parents informed of schedules for weekend activities and upcoming events through regular e-newsletters; and maintains information on the website needed for internal and external use. This role is also responsible for capturing and editing photos and video recordings of school events, and it requires immersion in the ebb and flow of the Eaglebrook School academic year. The Communications Associate reports directly to the Director of Advancement and Communications.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

● Write accurate and engaging content for news stories, social media, print materials, and other publications; gather and format information from departments to inform parents about schedules, deadlines, and special events through e-newsletters and web pages

● Follow and update the annual Communications content calendar to ensure timely, strategic content delivery

● Collaborate with Admissions, Advancement, and other departments to create audience-focused content

● Maintain and update the school website, ensuring content is current and aligned with the school’s mission and marketing goals

● Cover school events (photos, video, interviews) and translate them into valuable content for internal and external audiences

● Select images and videos to complement the copy and reflect the school’s mission

● Edit videos and photographs for various platforms and communications

● Organize photos and videos for easy access in communications materials

● Assist in creating marketing collateral (digital and print) consistent with the school’s brand

● Contribute creatively to marketing campaigns that promote the school’s mission and engage students, families, alumni, and other stakeholders

● Incorporate feedback from Communications team members and other stakeholders

● Proofread communications, website, and social media drafts for accuracy, consistency, flow, and brand representation

● Develop and update shot list for staff photographers. Manage implementation

● Provide administrative support and back-up support to the Associate Director of Communications

● Be prepared to work unconventional hours to capture school events and activities during weekdays, evenings, and weekends through the school year.

● Perform additional related duties as assigned
