Job description

Marketing Assistant
Job Summary
The Marketing Assistant provides administrative, production, and creative support to the Marketing Department, with a primary focus on copy preparation, printing, cutting, production, and fulfillment of resort-wide marketing materials. This position plays a critical role in ensuring marketing collateral is produced accurately, distributed efficiently, and maintained according to brand standards. The Marketing Assistant will report to Director of Marketing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Marketing Production & Copy Support
  • Prepare, proofread, copy, print, cut, assemble, and distribute marketing collateral for all resort departments.
  • Ensure all printed materials are produced accurately and meet established brand standards.
  • Assist with the creation, formatting, and editing of promotional materials including brochures, flyers, menus, signage, calendars, event materials, and resort guides.
  • Coordinate updates and revisions to marketing materials as needed.
  • Support the Creative Director and Marketing team with marketing production projects and deadlines.
  • Assist with monthly resort calendars and internal communications materials.

Print Production & Fulfilment
  • Operate and maintain digital printing equipment and production tools.
  • Print, trim, laminate, assemble, and prepare materials for distribution throughout the resort.
  • Fulfill collateral requests for all Sea Pines Resort departments, including:

    • The Inn & Club at Harbour Town
    • SPR Home & Villa Rentals
    • Harbour Town Yacht Basin
    • Harbour Town Golf Links
    • Heron Point by Pete Dye
    • Atlantic Dunes by Davis Love III
    • Sea Pines Racquet Club
    • Resort Restaurants and Retail Locations

  • Monitor production schedules to ensure timely completion of requests.
  • Maintain quality control standards for all printed materials.

Marketing Projects
  • Provide day-to-day support for departmental projects and initiatives.
  • Assist with the production of seasonal marketing campaigns and resort promotions.
  • Support the development and distribution of resort guides, brochures, event materials, and other marketing collateral.
  • Help maintain project timelines and workflow efficiency within the department.
  • Participate in marketing meetings and project planning discussions.

Inventory & Supply Management
  • Monitor inventory levels of paper, printed collateral, printer supplies, marketing materials, and office supplies.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels to support daily marketing production needs.
  • Coordinate ordering of production materials and supplies.
  • Organize storage areas and ensure materials are properly inventoried and accessible.
  • Assist with receiving and distributing shipments related to marketing operations.

Recycling & Sustainability
  • Oversee departmental recycling efforts and procedures.
  • Ensure recycling materials are appropriately collected, organized, and prepared for pickup.
  • Support environmentally responsible production and disposal practices.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and Photoshop, preferred.
  • Ability to operate office and production equipment including printers, cutters, laminators, and finishing equipment.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods while producing marketing materials.
  • Ability to lift and carry boxes of paper and marketing collateral up to 30 pounds.

  • Frequent walking between departments to deliver and distribute materials.
