Job description

Black Bear Talent is urgently seeking a Copper Handler. This is a very manual, physically demanding position that requires frequent lifting, walking, standing, and moving copper materials using carts throughout the facility. This position is a 4 - 6 week temp position with a possible opportunity to move to another role within the facility once the assignment ends but not guaranteed.

Hours are 7:00am - 3:00pm with overtime as required

Responsibilities

  • Transport copper materials throughout the facility using carts
  • Load, unload, and move copper safely and efficiently
  • Lift and handle materials repeatedly throughout the workday
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and facility guidelines
  • Work effectively in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Work required overtime
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift
  • Ability to push and pull loaded carts
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and maneuver throughout the facility
  • Must be comfortable performing repetitive manual labor
  • Ability to safely perform the physical demands of the position for an entire shift
Qualifications
  • Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or general labor experience
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Strong attention to safety
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to work required overtime
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A solid work history with previous employers
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and back ground check
