Their role often includes enhancing developer workflows by leveraging these AI tools, contributing to codebases, and ensuring that AI-generated code meets quality and security standards. They may also provide feedback to improve Copilot's suggestions and help teams adopt AI-assisted development practices. Copilot Developers often have strong programming skills and a deep understanding of how to effectively collaborate with AI tools.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Copilot Developer?

To thrive as a Copilot Developer, a strong background in software engineering, proficiency in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript, and experience with AI/ML concepts are essential, often supported by a relevant degree. Be Part Of A High-Performing Team:
Join a technology team focused on modernizing enterprise applications, improving integration capabilities, and building scalable solutions that support critical business operations. This team values practical engineering, strong ownership, collaboration, and the ability to use modern tools to deliver cleaner, faster, and more reliable software. The environment is active and evolving, with multiple related openings across application development, integration, and data-driven modernization initiatives.
What's In Store For You:
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for a senior developer who enjoys building meaningful solutions, working closely with technical and business stakeholders, and contributing to modernization efforts across a complex enterprise environment.
Engagement: W2 only, no C2C/1099.
The role is ideal for someone who wants to stay hands-on with modern Microsoft technologies while also influencing design decisions, improving development practices, and helping teams use AI-assisted development tools effectively. The position is hybrid in Charlotte, NC.
How You Will Make An Impact:
  • Design, develop, and enhance enterprise applications using C#, .NET, Blazor, and modern API frameworks.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs that support business-critical integrations, application workflows, and data exchange.
  • Contribute to modernization efforts by improving legacy systems, refactoring existing code, and creating scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, troubleshooting, and solution design.
  • Partner with technical teams, business stakeholders, and product owners to translate requirements into reliable application features and integration solutions.
  • Support Agile delivery through sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily collaboration, testing, reviews, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor other developers, contribute to technical standards, and help raise overall engineering quality across the team.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes across applications, APIs, and integrations.

Are you an experienced Blazor and API developer ready to make an impact?
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience with C#, .NET, and enterprise application development.
  • Strong hands-on experience building applications with Blazor.
  • Strong experience designing, building, and supporting RESTful APIs.
  • Practical experience using AI tools in the development lifecycle, such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or other AI-assisted coding/productivity tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, Azure Service Bus, or related cloud development tools.
  • Experience with SQL Server and data-driven application development.
  • Exposure to integration or data tools such as Snowflake, SSIS, ETL workflows, or enterprise data exchange is preferred.
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum or Kanban environments.
  • Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and communicate technical recommendations clearly.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to balance hands-on development, production support, technical design, and mentoring.
  • Local to Charlotte, NC or able to work in a hybrid onsite environment.
