JOB SUMMARY

Assists managers in all facets of sales/marketing/service processes; from solicitation of sale through service of event while in-house, including after-event follow-up, by typing, copying, distributing and filing all related correspondence as well as answering and responding appropriately to incoming telephone calls. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides support to Food & Beverage/Marketing leadership
  • Responsible for conducting market research, coordinating marketing meetings and providing all documentation necessary for the meetings.
  • Assists in gathering dates for all aspects of reporting.
  • Assists with web design and maintenance.
  • Reviews website to identify fixes and suggests improvements.
  • Assists with maintenance of website content, email promotions as well as any duties associated with Harlow's website.
  • Assists Marketing leadership with keeping track of contract elements for sponsorships, events and media promotions.
  • Coordinates the set-up and staffing for all on and off-site marketing events.
  • Assists with auditing media purchases made against invoices received.
  • Gathers post-event information for management for summary reports to be prepared.
  • Reviews post-analysis reports and make recommendations to management for future planning.
  • Helps ensure contracted deadlines are met.
  • Acts as liaison between Sales, Food and Beverage, Marketing department, vendors and suppliers.
  • Completes internal forms to assist in event execution, requests for promotional coupons, creating purchase requisitions and other company and department forms.
  • Ability to solicit in and outside the community for new business.
  • Assist in gathering date for all aspects of reporting
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory agencies or members of the staff. Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner. Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regard to the implementation of current duties. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables.

Computer, telephone, fax and copier.

Must have the ability to obtain a Work Permit by the Mississippi Gaming Commission. Must have a Valid Driver's License.  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Degree with training and experience in casino environment.  Background in marketing, customer relations marketing or public relations preferred; Two (2) years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
