Job description

Quanex is looking for a Cope Operator – 2nd Shift to join our team located in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

If you enjoy hands-on work and take pride in producing quality results, this role offers the opportunity to build your skills on a variety of specialized equipment. As a Cope Operator, you'll set up, operate, and inspect cope, helping ensure our products meet the highest standards for quality and craftsmanship. You will also be responsible for machine preventative maintenance (PMs).

Your growth matters here. As you become proficient on additional equipment, consistently achieve production goals, and share your expertise by training others, you'll have opportunities to advance and take on greater responsibility within the team.

Salary: $23.00-$34.50 per hour (rate includes 15% shift differential), starting wage varies based on your experience

New Hire Bonus: $1,000, payout increments at 30-days, 60-days and 6-months of employment!

Work Hours: Monday – Thursday 4:30pm – 2:00am, Friday 2:30pm – 6:30pm

Work Hours if overtime is required: Monday – Thursday 4:30pm – 4:00am, Friday 2:30pm – 11:00pm, potential Saturdays

  • High School or equivalent education, required.
  • 6 months+ of related machine operating experience, preferred.
  • Ability to read prints and measuring instruments.
  • Ability to perform detailed work that requires high levels of concentration.
