Job Description:
Summary:
Within Ballad Health Medical Associates, the Practice Manager II is responsible for the day-to-day functional operations of >1.5M - 3.5M in Gross Patient Revenue, 5 - 25 Total FTEs, and 3 - 7 Clinician FTEs within a service line. Ensures alignment with Ballad Health's mission and vision while upholding the organization's value and code of conduct. This role has direct authority and oversight for the day-to-day operations of the clinic(s) within their defined area of responsibility. In collaboration with BHMA Leadership, provide direct support action plans and COPA commitments/Terms of Certification Ensure compliance with all regulatory and best practice standard(s) in the operation of the clinic(s) managed. Ensure the efficient execution of charge entry, insurance, and payer validation, and review financial reports with physicians as needed. Manage Team Member performance, perform interviewing and provide recommendations for hire, schedule team member time off, and perform edits as needed to payroll Assist in providing data for monthly and quarterly operation reports for BHMA Leadership review and to assist in establishing annual operating and capital budgets. Maintain necessary inventories for the delivery of patient care. Ensure team member compliance with policies and procedures coordinate with BHMA Leadership and Human Resources regarding disciplinary action. Coach Team Members with issues and provide guidance, direct Team Members to the appropriate area as needed and keep management informed regarding team member concerns and problem areas. Demonstrate/Model customer service and Patient-Centered Care within the clinic(s), identify areas for improvement and report to management. Address issues raised by physicians, employees, and patients and seek out appropriate leaders or partners to problem solve and process improve. Assist BHMA Leadership in marketing the practice in the local community and maintain a good public relations program. Invest in team growth, team engagement and development opportunities. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education/Experience:
Required - Associate's Degree/Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field plus 2 year(s) experience in physician practice management or healthcare operations. Equivalent experience in physician practice management or healthcare operations will be accepted in lieu of education.
Knowledge/Skills Abilities:
Self-motivated, strong communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels, excellent organizational skills and manage multiple priorities, ability to maintain confidentiality and observe HIPAA compliance.
Preferred -
Master's Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration
Prior leadership or management experience in physician practice is highly preferred
Proven track record in growing physician practice revenues and volumes
