STAFFING COORDINATOR SUMMARY:

  • Full-Time, Monday - Friday, must be flexible with hours.

Sky View Rehabilitation and Health Care, a 192-bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in Croton-on-Hudson, NY serves as the bridge between hospital and home, spanning the gap from recovery to community reentry. Our luxurious and hotel-like environment is the ideal setting for those in need of Post Acute Rehabilitation or Long-Term Care. Our team of highly skilled physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapists really care and work together to create an individualized therapy plan that helps you reach your highest level of functioning in as short an amount of time as possible โ€“ preparing for your eventual return home.

  • The role of the Staffing Coordinator is to establish seamless staffing for the Nursing department
  • Provide completion of monthly nursing department schedule, plan staffing needs on a daily basis, and obtain staffing coverage for unplanned absences, holidays, vacations, and sick time.
  • Staffing Coordinator will post daily & monthly completed staffing schedules in a timely fashion.
  • Staffing Coordinator will provide staffing coverage for call outs and sick calls.
  • Staffing Coordinator will ensure staffing chain calls are activated as needed in times of emergency or weather events as per policy.
  • Complete weekly payroll for nursing department staff.
  • Assist Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) with any special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain excellent time and attendance for self.
  • Provide time and attendance audits on a routine basis as directed by DON and submit to the DON/ADON.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum High School Diploma (or equivalent).
  2. 3+ years of office work experience, healthcare industry experience preferred.
  3. Experience as a Staffing Coordinator or scheduling in long-term care or skilled nursing home experience, highly preferred.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  5. Excellent computer, communication, time management, and organization skills.
  6. Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible.
  7. Exemplary customer service skills
  8. Work well under pressure & willing to work harmoniously with all staff
