Overview

Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Opportunity, Columbia, SC

Prisma Health Medical Group-Midlands and the University of South Carolina, Department of Pediatrics is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Hematology/Oncology physician. This is a full‑time hematology position focused on sickle cell disease and benign hematology. The physician will join our robust sickle cell program that includes a full‑time APP, physician, social worker, nurse navigator, clinic nurses, and a neuropsychologist. The role includes collaboration with upstate partners to improve patient care and access for pediatric and adult sickle cell patients. The program currently serves close to 600 patients, has received state funding for growth, and is a key component of the division which has seven physicians and two APPs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care for sickle cell disease and benign hematology patients.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to program development.
  • Collaborate with upstate partners to enhance patient care and access for pediatric and adult sickle cell patients.
