MedicAid Youth and Family Health Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) for a full-time position within our dynamic remote community health clinic located in Rochester, New York. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans to address the psychological, emotional, and social needs of clients.
  • Facilitate crisis intervention through effective pre-crisis planning and crisis response strategies, ensuring the safety and stability of clients.
  • Complete documentation systematically and promptly, adhering to regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Utilize evidence-based screening tools as directed by the clinical team to ensure a rigorous and supportive therapeutic process.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to establish and implement positive behavior support plans aimed at improving client outcomes.
  • Engage actively in all licensing and accreditation processes to maintain the high standards of care that our organization is known for.
  • Serve as a liaison to local service systems, state agencies, and community partners, creating a network of support for our clients.
  • Maintain effective communication to meet contract standards while promoting the mission and values of MedicAid within the community.
  • Engage in outreach activities to promote available services, establish alliances, and identify potential funding sources.
  • Pursue personal and professional growth through attendance at professional conferences, training sessions, and representing the agency at relevant meetings and committees.
  • Integrate and promote the agency's mission in all interactions and perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The LMHC will work closely with a diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, and adults dealing with a wide range of mental health issues. Our clients often face challenges such as anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities. Qualifications
  • Masterโ€™s Degree in a behavioral health field is required.
  • Current LMHC license issued by the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 52,000 for part-time to USD 100,000 for full-time employment.
