Job description


Coordinates recruitment activities to acquire qualified and successful candidates for the Houston Independent School District. Fosters strong relationships with campuses, departments, and sourcing contacts to establish and maintain healthy talent pipelines. Strategically leverages data to develop and execute a recruiting strategy that identifies top talent, positively impacting student learning for the district. Executes special projects that have significant operational or organizational impact. Supports administrative staff.
Responsibilities
1. Develops and executes recruiting plans for the district, using both traditional and innovative sources and methods to attract new talent.
2. Manages ongoing program talent pipelines (e.g., Student Teaching, Alternative Certification Recruitment, University Partnerships, etc), as assigned. Compiles program sourcing data to aid management reporting and promote new strategies to strengthen pipelines.
3. Works closely with HR Talent Coordinators, school and division leaders, department leaders, and others to ensure that campus and department vacancies are filled timely.
4. Leverages and establishes positive ongoing relationships with university/college administrators, community organizations, and other sourcing contacts to secure quality talent for the district.
5. Cultivates candidate relationships, leveraging lead generation strategies and utilizing a customer relationship management database throughout the job search process to attract a pool of high-quality talent.
6. Provides differentiated support and guidance to principals, hiring teams, and department/division hiring managers to aid hiring decisions that best meet specific campus or department needs.
7. Documents and analyzes the results of each recruiting effort, identifies trends in data, and recommends changes in recruiting strategies as needed.
8. Assists with leveraging and maintaining sourcing platforms such as Indeed, ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn Recruiter, University Job Boards, etc.
9. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
