Job description

Job Summary Oversee Campus Activities Board and coordinate all planning and programming aspects of this organization in addition to RSO on campus venue scheduling Duties and Responsibilities Advise Campus Activities Board (CAB) organization, monitor academic status of all CAB members each semester, and maintain attendance records for meetings, events, etc. Manage CAB budget, contracts, evaluations, purchases, scholarships, and payments with approval for bids and contracts from the Student Development Director Provide leadership, training, and guidance for CAB officers and all activities Review CAB constitution and by-laws yearly, making suggestions to officers and members for updates Work with the Student Development Director to handle disciplinary actions with CAB officers and members Work closely with Student Development Director to assist with managing the Recognized Student Organizations (RSO's) Work closely with OMC with the creation of social media and email content for CAB activities Implement student learning outcomes and surveys for CAB activities and programs Assist with both student development campus events during and after normal work hours Manage classroom, outdoor venues, and student center rooms for student bookings Assist Director of Student Development with vectors (Chickering seven vectors) and competency mapping Assist with the supervision of the student section at athletic events Assist the Director of Student Development with the implementation and supervision of Suitable (Wingspan) Maintain accurate records for annual Student Affairs report Pursue professional development opportunities relevant to job responsibilities and stay up-to-date on the current trends and best practices within student development in higher education Present at one professional conference each year Participate in university-wide events such as Browse on the Bayou, PREP/POP, Convocation, Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs Initiatives, etc. Provide representation in various university committees and university-wide events to enhance awareness and visibility of Student Development Attend/complete yearly/quarterly training for safety, ethics, Title IX, and other mandatory trainings Other duties as assigned by President, Provost/VPAA, or Student Development Director Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree required in student personnel or related field.

2+ years' experience preferred working in higher education, student affairs, student lead organizations, and/or other job related experience. Budget experience preferred. Must possess strong organization skills, programming experience, advising experience, demonstrate team building, and communication skills.
