Line Cook – Cuban-Peruvian Restaurant

Location: Doral, Florida
Pay: $15–$18 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Job Type: Full-time and part-time positions available

Job Summary

Pisco Habanero, a new Cuban-Peruvian fusion restaurant in Doral, is building its opening kitchen team.

We are looking for dependable and experienced Line Cooks who can work quickly, follow recipes, maintain consistent food quality, and support the entire kitchen operation.

This is a team-oriented kitchen. Employees will not be limited to only one station or one responsibility. Every kitchen employee must be willing to do a little bit of everything, including food preparation, cooking, plating, restocking, cleaning, receiving products, and helping other stations when needed.

We are looking for people who understand the pace of a busy Miami restaurant and can remain organized and professional during high-volume service.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to the restaurant’s recipes, portions, and presentation standards
  • Set up and maintain an organized station before, during, and after service
  • Work different kitchen stations depending on the needs of the restaurant
  • Complete daily food preparation, including cutting, portioning, seasoning, and organizing ingredients
  • Plate dishes accurately and consistently
  • Check food for proper quality, flavor, presentation, and temperature
  • Maintain proper food rotation, labeling, storage, and portion control
  • Keep the kitchen, equipment, work surfaces, and floors clean and sanitary
  • Restock ingredients, containers, utensils, and supplies throughout the shift
  • Assist with receiving and properly storing deliveries
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures
  • Help with opening and closing responsibilities
  • Communicate clearly with cooks, expos, servers, and management
  • Support other kitchen stations during busy service periods
  • Assist with cleaning and other kitchen duties whenever necessary

Every kitchen employee is expected to contribute wherever help is needed. The position includes preparation, line cooking, plating, restocking, cleaning, and general kitchen support.

Requirements

  • Previous restaurant or commercial kitchen experience is preferred
  • Experience working as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or in a similar kitchen position
  • Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, and instructions consistently
  • Basic knife skills and knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment
  • Understanding of food safety and proper food-handling procedures
  • Ability to work quickly while maintaining quality and organization
  • Ability to handle several orders and responsibilities at the same time
  • Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to Doral
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, reach, lift, and perform normal kitchen duties throughout the shift
  • Willingness to clean and help outside the primary cooking station
  • Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary

Language

Spanish is sufficient for this position. English is not required.

Compensation

Pay ranges from $15 to $18 per hour, depending on previous kitchen experience, availability, skills, and qualifications.
