Job description

Cook Solutions Group, listed as a 100 Best Companies to Work for, is looking for a Warehouse Assistant with excellent customer service, communication, and time management skills, a professional attitude and appearance, and the ability to integrate into our "We Make It Happen!" culture. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting in the performance of a variety of general warehouse duties and maintaining a neat and orderly warehouse by performing the following duties.

Location: Portland, OR

Pay: $20-22 Per Hour

What you’ll do:

  1. Responsible for purchase order product receipt via UPS, Fed Ex, and Freight company deliveries: in a timely, efficient, and accurate fashion, understanding the urgency and importance behind rush orders.
  2. System receipt, transfers, and communication of receipt or issue of receipt with inner-company personnel as well as vendors.
  3. Staging equipment for upcoming installations.
  4. Responsible for daily shipping and receiving duties.
  5. Work with Purchasing Team on Return Material Authorization (RMA) process to ensure timely closure.
  6. Oversee the locked inventory cage.
  7. Assist with mid-year and year-end physical inventories.
  8. Pick up parts at local vendors as needed.
  9. Coordinate disposal of recyclable scrap materials.
  10. Responsible for the safe operation of forklift and other material handling equipment.
  11. Responsible for keeping the warehouse clean and organized.
  12. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.

What you bring:

HS Diploma or GED equivalent

1-2 years of warehouse experience

Comfortable with MS Office Suite & learning new computer software programs

Forklift experience

Ability to move and/or lift to 50lbs occasionally and up to 100lbs with assistance
