About This Role

Join our dynamic child care center team as an Assistant Cook! As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation, menu planning, and maintaining the highest standards of kitchen operations. This part-time role is perfect for individuals looking for a challenging and fast-paced work environment, Monday to Friday.


What You'll Do

Responsibilities:


  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Support the head cook in menu planning, ensuring a variety of nutritious and appealing meal options.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of food presentation.
  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
  • Help with inventory management, including ordering supplies and tracking food usage.
  • Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed, sharing knowledge of culinary techniques and best practices.

Requirements

Experience in meal preparation is preferred, but we will train the right individual.
