Job description

We are searching for team members who want to be part of creating our iconic Smiley Cookie. As a Cookie Factory Team Member, you will mix dough, bake, and decorate our signature Smiley Cookies for all our restaurant locations, keep our Cookie Cruiser stocked with delicious Smiley Cookies as it attends community events and fulfill orders from Smileycookie.com to be shipped all over the globe! We are looking for someone who can follow our brand guidelines and maintain high standards for appearance and quality. This position is located at our Cookie Factory, where every single cookie is created! Our tradition of creating smiles for all our guests starts right here! 


JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the production cookie dough, baked and decorated cookies. Team member will follow documented procedures, while maintaining high standards in food quality and appearance. Team member is also required to perform other tasks as directed by a supervisor.


The pay rate for this position is $13.46 - $14.42 / hour, depending on prior experience. The schedule is part-time or full-time, 6:30AM to 2:30PM, Monday through Friday.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


Mixing dough and running cookies at the pace of the production line.

Inspect products to meet company standards for quality and appearance.

Package frozen cookies in a timely manner.

Follow company safety and sanitation policies using “clean as you go” techniques.

Rotate products to maintain and ensure freshness.

Decorate Cookies following prescribed brand standards.

Consistently and accurately record information on the product control sheets.

Maintain an open line of communication with management on the quality of products, supplies, and the condition of equipment.

Follow company attendance policy including arriving for work timely, following calling off procedures, and maintaining an acceptable attendance record.

Follow the uniform dress code and maintain proper personal hygiene.

Work well with others and assist fellow team members as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential tasks.

  • Ability to read, understand, and follow recipes.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Standing and/or walking - 100% of time.
  • Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs (when concentrating on dough production).
  • Frequently lifting up to 40 lbs (when concentrating on dough production).
  • Replicating standard decorating designs using an icing bag (instructions provided).
