Job description

Duties:

  • Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and in a friendly manner, answer their questions about the menu, and provide recommendations. Handle special requests and address any concerns or complaints.
  • Order Taking and Processing: Accurately take and process customer orders, both in person and over the phone. Ensure that orders are correctly prepared and packaged.
  • Cash Handling: Operate the cash register, handle cash and credit card transactions, give change, and maintain accurate records of sales.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of cookies and other products. Inform the manager when supplies are low and help with restocking as needed.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the counter area clean and organized. This includes wiping down surfaces, cleaning spills, and maintaining a tidy workspace.
  • Product Display: Ensure that cookies and other items are attractively displayed. Refill displays and arrange products to appeal to customers.
  • Adherence to Health and Safety Standards: Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure that food is prepared and handled properly. Maintain personal hygiene and adhere to cleanliness standards.
  • Assist with Baking and Preparation: Depending on the size of the shop, you might assist with baking cookies or preparing ingredients.
  • Promotions and Marketing: Inform customers about special offers, promotions, and new products. Help with in-store marketing efforts, such as setting up displays or sampling.
  • Communication with Team: Work effectively with other staff members, including communicating any issues or needs to the manager.
