Job description

The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, one of Montana's AAA Four Diamond resorts, is seeking a Line-Cook to work with our food and beverage team at $21-$25 hourly DOE. The kitchen needs you to keep the food flowing. All employees receive perks of $50 rooms at any of ourproperties, and discount rates at our spa, restaurant, and retail.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION PURPOSE:
As a line cook you will be responsible for stocking and setting up the station.Preparing food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.Cooking food items by grilling, sauteing, and other cooking methods tospecified recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and comply with foodsanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acquiring directions from supervisor and retaining information received.
  • Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations.
  • Preparing food includes cleaning and cutting the ingredients, cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks.
  • Plating prepared foods based on senior chefs' guidance.
  • Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time.
  • Ensure all equipment is kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant's preventative maintenance programs.
  • Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking equipment at the end of work shifts.
  • Full understanding of, and follow, all regulations that pertain to health and safety.

  • Knowledge of Food and Beverage, Local and State Food Handling laws and procedures. 
  • Must be organized and detailed oriented.
