Job Summary:

As a Cook at Denny's, you will be responsible for cooking food to order, preparing ingredients, maintaining proper sanitation, and ensuring the adherence to company food preparation standards. Your primary goal will be to ensure guest satisfaction by presenting food according to Denny's specifications and guest preferences.

Job Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure guest satisfaction by proper plate presentation and cooking to Denny's specifications and guest preference
  • Inform management immediately of any safety hazards, equipment problems, and out-of-stock items
  • Prepare ingredient items to recipe and company standards
  • Adhere to all company standards and policies, including proper food storage, rotation, portioning, temperatures, and reporting to work on time
  • Maintain proper fry line sanitation at all times
  • Complete all required paperwork, side-work, stocking, and daily cleaning tasks
  • Handle peak business hours and present a professional image at all times
  • Adhere to all safety standards and promote Denny's Inc. and Franchise company values

Physical Requirements:

  • Extensive standing during peak hours
  • Reaching heights of approximately 5 feet and depths of 2 to 3 feet
  • High level of mobility/flexibility on the cook's line
  • Ability to work irregular hours and under heavy pressure/stress

  • Carrying trays of food products weighing about 20 pounds

Qualification Standards:
