Job description

The Operator is responsible for running and monitoring production equipment used in gummy manufacturing, including Acepaks, cook systems, and hopper systems. This role requires strong technical competence, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and the capacity to maintain consistent production output in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Operators are expected to ensure machines are set up correctly, running efficiently, and producing product that meets all quality and safety standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation
  • Operate and monitor production equipment including:
    • Acepak machines
    • Cook systems
    • Hopper systems
  • Ensure machines are set up properly before production runs.
  • Start, adjust, and shut down equipment according to SOPs.
  • Monitor machine performance throughout the shift to ensure consistent output.
Production Performance
  • Maintain expected production rates and machine efficiency.
  • Continuously monitor output quality and consistency.
  • Identify and report any deviations in production or equipment performance.
  • Support efforts to minimize downtime and waste.
Quality & GMP Compliance
  • Follow all cGMP, food safety, and company policies at all times.
  • Perform routine checks to ensure product meets quality standards.
  • Ensure proper documentation of production activities when required.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and compliant work areas.
Equipment Care & Troubleshooting
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on assigned equipment.
  • Escalate mechanical or technical issues to Maintenance or Supervisors when needed.
  • Support cleaning, setup, and breakdown of equipment between runs.
  • Ensure equipment is operated safely and correctly at all times.
Team Coordination
  • Communicate effectively with Supervisors, Leads, and other Operators.
  • Support smooth handoffs during shift changes.
  • Assist team members as needed to maintain production flow.
  • Work independently while maintaining alignment with team production goals.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, not required
Schedule

Multiple shifts available across continuous production operations:

1st Shift
  • 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
  • Includes scheduled production runs and potential overtime until production is completed
2nd Shift
  • 1:30 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Includes scheduled production runs and potential overtime until production is completed
Extended Production Coverage
  • Some departments and production runs may require work until finished
  • Overtime may be required based on production demand
