The Prep Cook assists with food preparation, oversees kitchen operations when the Culinary Manager is away, and helps ensure safe, timely, and highquality meal service across ranch homes.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation, seasoning, and cooking of meals
- Ensure timely meal service and proper food temperatures
- Supervise and support kitchen crew and Rancher/Resident helpers
- Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary kitchen environment
- Organize and maintain walkin coolers and storage areas
- Check in food deliveries for quality and quantity and ensure proper storage
- Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Culinary Manager
- Accurately complete production, sanitation, and operational records
- Inspect kitchen equipment and report maintenance needs
- Support food delivery to ranch homes while maintaining sanitation standards
This is a safetysensitive position requiring strong attention to detail and accountability.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 23 years of food service or cooking experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Ability to multitask and maintain strong organization in a fastpaced kitchen
- Reliable, responsible, and teamoriented work ethic
- Ability to work closely with staff, residents, and volunteers
- Ability to read, speak, and write in English
- Possess or obtain a Food Managers Card (employer paid)
- Comfortable in a nonprofit / residential care setting
- CPR / First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain - employer paid)
- Demonstrated ethical behavior, professionalism, and respect for residents
- Final candidates will be required to submit to our security clearance process.
