Mission amp; Purpose
As a cook at Townies, you play a central role in creating an exceptional food experience for our guests. Townies is a fast-paced, made-to-order concept that combines freshly prepared meals with convenience retail. Your job is to consistently prepare and serve high-quality items while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and efficiency. You are a key contributor to a smooth kitchen operation and a positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation amp; Safety

  • Prepare, heat, and serve soups, proteins, baked goods, and other food items

  • Assemble made-to-order meals (sandwiches, salads, sides) during service hours

  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation guidelines

  • Perform temperature checks, labeling, storage, and kitchen cleaning procedures

  • Follow opening and closing kitchen checklists

Inventory amp; Cleanliness

  • Monitor prep ingredients and notify manager of low stock or prep needs

  • Receive and store deliveries using FIFO rotation

  • Maintain a clean, organized kitchen space

  • Wash and store prep tools, utensils, and small wares

  • Support execution of monthly limited time offers (LTOs)

Team Collaboration amp; Customer Interaction

  • Communicate clearly with FOH staff to fulfill orders quickly and accurately

  • Occasionally assist guests or take orders at the counter during peak hours

  • Call out completed orders and maintain energy and clarity during busy periods

  • Report equipment issues or supply needs to management

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred
Experience: Kitchen experience is a plus (including home or informal cooking)
Skills: Food Handler Certification required, strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, follow recipes, and communicate clearly in a team setting
