Job Description / Essential Elements:
Assist Cook/Manager in preparing and cooking entrees,and other main dishes; prepares salads and other foods;season,mix,chop, slice,and assemble foods,and food ingredients;may operate a cash register;fill out daily work sheets and sell and collect lunch tickets; keep records and reports; set up, and operate dishwashers, stoves, ovens, mixers,and other kitchen equipment; wash dishes, utensils, pots and pans, trays, serving compartments,and other serving equipment;assist on serving lines set out prepared foods, dispense foods in proper proportions,keep food or tray counts; store foods,rotate stock in storage areas,assist in the receipt of food orders,assist with inventories,restock
condiments,food items,and paper goods before,during,and between servings;observe safe and sanitary procedures and practices assign and direct other workers; may supervise and be responsible for the Cafeteria operation in the absence of the Cook/Manager; supervise students in cafetorium, and clean tables.
