SpecialtyRx is seeking a Pharmacist for our new closed-door pharmacy location opening soon in Cook County, Illinois. We welcome experienced professionals looking to grow with a rapidly expanding long-term care pharmacy organization.
About Us:
SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to long-term care facilities and assisted living communities. We are committed to delivering personalized care and high-quality pharmacy services to the patients and facilities we serve.
As we expand into Cook County, Illinois, we are building a dedicated team focused on operational excellence and exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
  •  Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration. 
  •  Ensure medications are accurately dispensed and properly labeled. 
  •  Recommend therapy changes to physicians and facility staff when appropriate. 
  •  Maintain customer databases including medical history, clinical information, and laboratory data. 
  •  Investigate and resolve medication-related inquiries. 
  •  Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and healthcare team members regarding medication-related concerns. 
  •  Supervise medication preparation and dispensing processes. 
  •  Maintain controlled substance records for legal and inventory purposes. 
  •  Ensure proper medication storage and security standards are maintained. 
  •  Perform on-call duties when required. 

Qualifications:
  •  Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Illinois required. 
  •  Long-Term Care pharmacy experience preferred. 
  •  Previous experience in hospital, retail pharmacy, or related healthcare settings preferred. 
  •  Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. 
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. 
  •  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  •  Computer proficiency required. 
  •  Framework / ECM software knowledge is a plus. 

Shift:
Full-time schedule:
  • 1st shift 8am-4:30pm Monday–Friday and every other weekend.
  • 2nd shift 6pm-2:30am Monday–Friday and every other weekend.
  • 3rd Shift 7on/7off 10 hour shift Monday-Sunday every other week.
