Job description

Position: Lightweight Conveyor Belt Technician Capital Rubber
Location: Stockton, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Lightweight Conveyor Belt Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, splicing, fabricating, and maintaining lightweight conveyor belt systems used in manufacturing, food processing, packaging, distribution, and other industrial applications.

This position includes both field service at customer locations and shop work at our lightweight belt fabrication facility in Stockton, California. The technician will perform the same installation, fabrication, splicing, repair, and maintenance tasks in our shop as they do in the field, ensuring high-quality workmanship and timely completion of customer orders.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, fabricate, splice, repair, and replace lightweight conveyor belts.
  • Perform belt fabrication and assembly in our Stockton shop.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot conveyor belt issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
  • Read and interpret work orders and technical drawings.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and meets quality standards.
  • Travel to customer locations as required.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with lightweight conveyor belt installation, fabrication, and splicing preferred (training available for the right candidate).
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed.
