Senior Conveyance Project Engineer

Location: Rocklin, CA (Travel Required Occasionally)
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: 
$95,000-$120,000+ (Dependent on Experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Conveyance Project & Applications Engineer to join our team in Rocklin, CA. 

This full-time role is ideal for someone with a strong background in conveyor systems, with an ability to manage projects in a customer facing environment, pre and post sales. 

The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of experience in the conveyor industry—either as an engineer or in a technical sales capacity—and be confident owning projects from initial concept through to final proposal to delivery. 

This role is heavily focused on executing and supporting conveyor projects, from system design to estimating and client communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage your own portfolio of conveyor system projects from initial inquiry through proposal and handoff
  • Work directly with clients to understand application needs and propose tailored solutions
  • Prepare estimates, technical proposals, layouts, and supporting documentation
  • Collaborate with internal design, engineering, and controls teams as needed
  • Travel to customer sites for site visits, project scoping, and relationship development – all travel costs paid
  • Utilize AutoCAD to create and/or modify system layout drawings
  • Maintain detailed project records, timelines, and communication logs

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years experience in automation and/or conveyor systems (engineering or technical sales)
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Proven project management capabilities, including handling multiple concurrent projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to travel as required (typically local with occasional domestic trips for site visits and meetings)
  • Proficient with AutoCAD (2D layout experience required)
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
  • Must maintain a valid drivers license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Qualified to spec out robotic palletizing applications is a bonus
  • Experience with material handling equipment, automation, or packaging systems
  • Technical problem-solving capability (hardware and controls)
  • Estimating and proposal-writing skills
  • Experience with the following software/tools desirable:
