Title: Converting Operator
Department: Production
Immediate Supervisor: Plant Supervisory Staff
Status: Non-ExemptHourly
Position Purpose: Operates converting equipment
Principle Accountabilities
  • Set up and operator multiple converting machinery
    1. Band Saw
    2. Perforator
    3. Sealer 2000
    4. Sheeter
  • Troubleshoot machinery and make adjustments as needed
  • Produce orders to schedule and specification
  • Prepare goods for shipping using various equipment
  • Label finished goods, place on pallets as necessary
  • Perform quality control checks
  • Ability to read tape measure
  • Must be detailed oriented and have a sense of urgency
  • Use PPE as required
  • Maintain good housekeeping
  • Related tasks as requested by supervisor

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Manufacturing experience is helpful.
  • No travel required
  • Must be able to work in varying temperatures above 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Must have basic math skills.
