Conversion Manager information

What is a conversion manager?

Conversion Managers are professionals responsible for optimizing a business’s website or digital campaigns to increase the percentage of visitors who complete desired actions, such as making a purchase or filling out a form. They analyze user behavior, run A/B tests, and implement strategies to improve conversion rates. Their role involves close collaboration with marketing, design, and development teams to ensure that user experience and messaging are aligned with business goals. Conversion Managers often use data analytics and user feedback to inform their decisions and measure the effectiveness of their efforts.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a conversion manager?

To thrive as a Conversion Manager, you need strong analytical skills, experience with conversion rate optimization (CRO), and a background in digital marketing or related fields. Familiarity with A/B testing platforms, web analytics tools like Google Analytics, and CRO certifications are commonly required. Exceptional communication, creativity, and project management skills help in collaborating with teams and driving innovative solutions. These competencies are vital for maximizing website performance, improving user experience, and achieving business growth targets.

How does a conversion manager typically collaborate with marketing and product teams to optimize user experience?

A Conversion Manager works closely with both marketing and product teams to analyze user behavior, identify drop-off points, and recommend improvements to increase conversion rates. This often involves sharing insights from A/B tests, aligning on messaging strategies, and coordinating website or app updates. Regular cross-functional meetings and data sharing are essential to ensure everyone is working toward common goals. By fostering open communication, Conversion Managers help bridge the gap between technical development and marketing initiatives for optimal user experience.

Job description

Impact Scale LLC is seeking a conversion-focused, highly analytical Product UX/UI Designer to join our powerhouse performance marketing team. This role is ideal for a designer who pairs exceptional visual execution with a deep, scientific understanding of conversion psychology and consumer engagement. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping both our internal high-volume operational products and our customer-facing brand experiences that reach millions of users daily. You will not build passive, purely aesthetic landing pages; you will engineer intuitive, high-velocity digital user flows, multi-step capture systems, and responsive layouts designed specifically to optimize consumer action. Partnering directly with developers and marketing stakeholders, you will act as a main bridge between raw traffic and scale.

Key Responsibilities

Interface Engineering Conversion Architecture

  • Direct-Response Design: Architect intuitive, visually gripping user interfaces (UI) for web properties, mobile platforms, and interactive digital products.

  • Funnel System Development: Create structured wireframes, functional interactive prototypes, and scalable UI systems for marketing funnels, complex applications, multi-step lead capture flows, and digital campaigns.

  • Conversion Optimization: Audit active website layouts and consumer touchpoints to continuously optimize interfaces for maximum conversion rate lift, frictionless usability, and extreme interaction performance.

  • Component Execution: Design conversion elements such as custom landing pages, user verification paths, interactive widgets, and direct-response digital marketing creative assets.

Technical Design Collaborative Systems

  • Cross-Functional Synchronization: Collaborate tightly with frontend developers, performance marketers, product managers, and content creators to deliver unified, brand-compliant digital assets.

  • Mobile-First Accessibility Governance: Implement mobile-first, highly responsive, and accessible web standards (WCAG compliance) to ensure flawless performance across all screen resolutions and browser types.

  • Technical Troubleshooting: Rapidly diagnose and resolve complex interface breaks, visual layout bugs, or user experience friction flags across live properties.

  • Modern Workflow Innovation: Integrate advanced AI-driven design tools and modern automated design workflows to accelerate prototyping and lower concept-to-deployment times.

Qualifications Skills

  • Experience Depth: 3+ years of progressive professional experience as a UX/UI Designer, Product Designer, or Interaction Designer inside a high-volume performance marketing, lead generation, or growth-stage tech startup.

  • Figma Design Stack Mastery: Advanced, elite-level command of Figma(design systems, auto-layout, advanced prototyping), Miro, and modern collaboration frameworks.

  • Conversion Literacy: Strong, verified history of designing conversion-focused landing pages, high-converting digital products, marketing funnels, and performance layouts where data guides final design choices.

  • Technical Foundation: A strong working knowledge of frontend web technologies (HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript) is highly preferred to ensure seamless handoffs to developer infrastructure.

  • Core Attributes: Impeccable mastery of visual hierarchy, responsive spacing, advanced typography rules, and strategic color balance. Strong project management habits under high-velocity sprint conditions.

  • Portfolio Requirement: A comprehensive, mandatory design portfolio demonstrating deep user journey mappings, interactive mobile UX flows, and live high-conversion landing page or web interfaces.

Compensation Benefits

  • Health Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance packages (Available following a standard 90-day introductory period).

  • Retirement: Corporate retirement savings plan options with a traditional 401(k) (Eligible after 90 days of continuous employment).

  • Time Off: Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) allotment and observed holiday schedule.

  • Perks Luxury Culture: Daily catered lunches, a fully stocked premium coffee and tea bar, unlimited snacks, and free garage parking. Employees also enjoy routine professional development opportunities within an elite, growth-driven leadership environment in Downtown Vancouver, WA.
