Job description

JOB SUMMARY  

We are seeking a talented and customer-obsessed conversion copywriter to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for driving customer conversions across various digital platforms by creating targeted, relevant, and engaging content. This role focuses on creating content tailored for various audiences for a private Christian university, including incoming college students and their parents, as well as graduate-level, online, and partner site students. You will work closely with the Manager of Content Strategy, a team of student writers, and the rest of the SEU Creative team to promote the university’s brand. This position requires creativity, attention to detail, strong editorial and grammatical skills, and a willingness to remain on the cutting-edge of the latest digital strategies in order to remain relevant to our audiences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES - May include, but is not limited to the following: 

  • Content Creation: Develop high-quality, persuasive copy for landing pages, email campaigns, social media captions, web pages, and other marketing materials, specifically targeting incoming college students and their parents, as well as additional audiences as assigned.
  • Audience Understanding: Conduct thorough research to understand the unique needs, motivations, and concerns of our audiences, ensuring content is relevant and compelling.
  • Conversion Optimization: Write and optimize copy that encourages desired actions, such as clicks, sign-ups, applications, and enrollments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team, designers, and enrollment staff to ensure copy aligns with overall brand messaging and campaign goals.
  • A/B Testing: Participate in the creation and execution of A/B tests to measure the effectiveness of different copy variations and continuously improve conversion rates.
  • SEO Integration: Implement SEO best practices in all content to enhance organic search visibility and drive traffic.
  • Performance Analysis: Track and analyze content performance metrics to inform and refine future content strategies.
  • Market Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in digital marketing, copywriting, and customer engagement to keep our content fresh and competitive.

Required:

WORK ENVIRONMENT

TRAINING

All new hires and employees transferring into a new position will have a 90-day probationary period within which to learn the functions of the job and to be evaluated. Following the probationary period, the employee can transition to regular status, have the probationary period extended in order to receive more training, or employment can be terminated. SCREENING

All full-time positions at SEU are deemed security-sensitive and require background checks.
