Position Overview

We're seeking a Sr to Principal-level Conversational Designer with deep experience shaping immersive, AI-powered chat experiences. This person will lead generative content design across complex use cases, blending strategic rigor with creativity, humility, and a sense of play. You'll collaborate closely with product, engineering, legal, and research partners to design conversational systems that are useful, human, and responsible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of immersive conversational experiences across chat, multimodal, and generative AI platforms
  • Define and evolve generative content strategies, including tone, personality, guardrails, and system behaviors
  • Translate complex requirements, particularly in regulated or high-impact environments, into clear, human-centered conversational flows
  • Partner with product, engineering, research, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality conversational experiences from concept through launch
  • Prototype, test, and iterate on generative interactions using emerging tools and platforms
  • Mentor designers and contribute to the growth and maturity of conversational design practices
  • Foster curiosity, creativity, and collaboration while helping teams do their best work together
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in conversational design
  • Recent hands-on experience designing generative AI content, interactions, and immersive chat experiences
  • Proven success working in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, enterprise software) and/or consumer product environments
  • Strong experience creating multi-turn, adaptive, and context-aware conversational experiences
  • Deep understanding of conversational design patterns, LLM behavior, prompt engineering strategies, and content systems

  • Ability to influence and collaborate across disciplines without relying on formal authority
