What You'll Do as a Industrial Engineer
As an Industrial Engineer at Globe, you will play a vital role in translating customer needs into tailored manufacturing solutions. You will partner closely with our Sales Team and directly contribute to Globe's success by developing the technical and commercial proposals that help close new business. This role blends engineering, technical sales, and creative problem-solving - making it ideal for someone with both strong mechanical aptitude and the communication skills to engage with customers and internal teams alike.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret Customer Needs - Analyze technical requirements provided by customers and sales prospects to understand process goals, equipment needs, and system specifications.
  • Develop Customized Proposals - Create compelling sales packages that include:
    • Technical and commercial proposals
    • Sales drawings in 2D and 3D
    • High-quality 3D renderings and simulations
    • Process flow diagrams, equipment layouts, and bottleneck/capacity studies
  • Engineering & Cost Analysis - Use historical data, Excel cost models, and collaboration with internal teams to estimate costs for equipment, automation systems, controls, and robotics.
  • Technical Documentation - Draft process descriptions, technical specifications, and project requirements to clearly define proposed solutions for internal teams and customers.
  • Internal & External Communication - Present technical solutions confidently to both internal leadership and external customers, supporting the Sales team during virtual and in-person meetings.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration - Work closely with Globe's engineering, operations, and manufacturing teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with Globe's capabilities.

    • Word for creating clear technical documentation
  • Ability to conduct capacity studies, bottleneck analyses, and process flow development preferred.
  • Comfortable developing both technical drawings and visually impactful sales renderings strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - able to present technical content clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently while staying aligned with sales, engineering, and operations teams.
  • Analytical mindset with a knack for researching technical solutions and asking the right questions.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field (Associate's or Bachelor's).
  • Experience in industries like:
    • Building Products Manufacturing (Wood-based, Engineered Wood, Cementitious)
    • Pulp & Paper
    • Advanced Composites (Aerospace, Automotive, Infrastructure)
  • Knowledge of industrial automation, PLC controls, and Fanuc robotics is a plus.
