Specialized MiR / AMR Technician Needed

Custom Filters Direct is seeking an experienced MiR Robotics Technician / Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) Specialist to provide onsite troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and technical support for our MiR Mobile Industrial Robots at our manufacturing facility in Bloomsburg, PA.

This is an as-needed 1099 contractor opportunity rather than a regular full-time position. We are looking for an experienced robotics or automation professional located within approximately two hours of Bloomsburg, PA who can respond to occasional onsite service needs.

Candidates with direct experience supporting MiR robots, AMRs, AGVs, industrial robotics, automation systems, or automated material-handling equipment are strongly encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot MiR robot faults, alarms, and operational issues
  • Perform onsite repairs and corrective maintenance
  • Troubleshoot navigation, mapping, missions, and robot configuration
  • Support MiR Fleet and related MiR software as needed
  • Diagnose issues involving:
    • Sensors and safety scanners
    • Batteries and charging systems
    • Motors and electrical components
    • Network and Wi-Fi connectivity
    • Robot communication and controls
  • Review system logs and error codes to identify root causes
  • Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections
  • Recommend replacement parts or corrective actions
  • Assist with programming or configuration adjustments as needed
  • Work with our Maintenance and Operations teams to minimize robot downtime
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend reliability improvements
What We're Looking For
  • Direct experience with MiR Mobile Industrial Robots strongly preferred
  • Experience with AMRs, AGVs, industrial robotics, automation, or controls
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience diagnosing automated equipment, sensors, controls, and communication systems
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
  • Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills
  • Manufacturing or industrial automation experience preferred
  • Ability to travel onsite to our Bloomsburg, PA facility as needed
  • Must ideally reside within approximately a two-hour driving distance of Bloomsburg
Contract Details
  • 1099 Independent Contractor
  • On-call / as-needed service work
  • No guaranteed weekly hours
  • Onsite work at our Bloomsburg, PA manufacturing facility
  • Service frequency will depend on equipment and operational needs
  • Contractor must provide availability for occasional onsite troubleshooting and repairs
Compensation

Competitive contractor/service rate based on experience.

Compensation will be discussed directly with company ownership during the interview process.
