DESCRIPTION
A Project Controls Manager works alongside our engineering and operations teams to coordinate design, communicate project status and oversee project deliverables. Each tool/station/cell requires a list of deliverables throughout the project build, as well as dedicated communications between the GM and Invio Controls teams. Our goal is to exceed expectations and ensure our customers receive an exceptional experience at Invio Automation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with the GM Strategic supplier teams to ensure all deliverables are met for each unique program or project.
  • Create, maintain, and present an open action register (internally and externally).
  • Work cross functionally with all departments during all phases of the project.
  • Must have experience with the following:
    • The ability to lead and track technical discussions regarding design and function of Automated equipment as it applies to the Automotive industry.
    • In-depth understanding of project flow, timing and processes from concept to delivery.
    • Background in PLC build/programming, Robotics or Automation cells and/or Cell installation.
  • Acts as an intermediary between customer teams and Invio Controls engineers, to filter and document discussions and confirm necessary designs or changes.
  • Capable of reviewing technical documentation and validating components prior or during the controls release process.
  • Able to travel within North America for occasional in plant reviews. Travel does not exceed 15% of the year.
  • When necessary, participate in classes and training seminars to learn new technologies and techniques deemed helpful to performance on the job.
  • Other tasks and projects as assigned by leadership.

    • GCCH (EPLAN)

  • Working knowledge of personal computer, keyboard, and software programs

EDUCATION
Four-year degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Electrical) or a related field is preferred. Minimum (6) years' experience of working with controls programming or robotics is required. Non-degreed applicants should have at least (10) years of related experience.
