What you will do:

Trane is looking for a dynamic and compassionate General Sales Manager for our Southwestern Ontario office locations - Hamilton / London / Windsor, committed to delivering business results and continually fostering employee engagement. You will be the General Sales Leader for all Southwestern Ontario sales associates in our Systems, Controls, and Services sales streams and help provide general leadership for the Southwestern Ontario office locations through a matrix management organizational structure.  But more than just a General Sales Manager, you will bring flair and finesse to the role by serving as a mentor and coach to your team members. By utilizing effective employee development tools, you will nurture their individual growth and create opportunities for advancement. This commitment to continuous development will enhance both individual and team performance, resulting in outstanding results.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the annual and long-term development and delivery of financial results for the Sales Office. Responsible for achieving annual objectives regarding bookings, profit, volume, margins, business mix, and share for all business streams. 

  • Leadership for the following functions: customer and district sales management, new customer acquisition, customer satisfaction measurement, price management, marketing, maximizing account penetration, market penetration, customer retention, hiring and on-boarding of new sales associates, continual assessment of skills and administering necessary training, setting quotas, accurate sales forecasting and consistent use of Trane sales tools and systems. 

  • Assemble account teams and interact with Account Managers with differing business development requirements, customer focus, experience, sales cycles, and product portfolios. 

  • Responsible for sales office compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational integrity.

  • Partnering with local leaders to foster collaboration within the teams. 

  • Accountable for developing key industry relationships within local markets. Key relationships include, but are not limited to, strategic builder alignment, vendor representatives, etc.

What you will bring:

  • 1+ years of demonstrated experience in Business Development in lieu of degree. or Associate’s Degree (AA)

  • Experience in the development and execution of distribution and marketing plans and programs.

  • 5+ years sales and leadership experience

  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:

$125,526.66 - $181,299.99
