Trane has an exciting opportunity to join and lead our Controls team in Ft. Worth, Texas, as an Area Controls Manager!

As the Area Controls Manager, you will leading the Controls/Building Automation team and have direct responsibility for execution and targeted profitability while leading the fulfillment team to accomplish specific objectives. This position is responsible for interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, coaching and mentoring employees; and resolving problems.

What you will do:

  • Driving revenue & profitability and achieving specific Annual Operating Plan priorities.
  • Monitors performance and progress of the Area's project portfolio to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Manages associate performance by monitoring effectiveness and efficiency in relation to specific objectives and operating plan goals.
  • Supports the Regional Contracting Operations Leader in delivering business results and sharing department vision.
  • Strong collaboration with other Business Streams & functional leaders for greater inter-departmental collaboration and cohesiveness.
  • Directly supervise assigned Controls fulfillment personnel.
  • Identifies project needs, assigns personnel and develops detailed project plans.
  • Functions as the primary interface between the customer, vendors, sub-contractors, and internal expertise within the sales organization and fulfillment organization.
  • Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff.
  • Maintains high employee engagement through training, career development, a dynamic culture and retaining top talent.
  • Reviews and validates contracts and estimates by performing risk analysis and developing risk plans.
  • Confirms Trane's ability to meet the performance and financial requirements by obtaining and analyzing customer data, project data, and implementation issues prior to accepting the project.
  • Leads as a local operations safety professional to establish & maintain a work culture that makes safety priority #1.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal work hours, as required.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Business with at least 10+ years' work experience in building automation/controls, and a minimum of 5 years in supervisory capacity.
  • Advanced business and financial acumen.
  • Working knowledge of industrial and commercial HVAC systems and building automation systems.
  • Must have exceptional proficiency using Microsoft Office products.
  • Organizational expertise, strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in construction processes associated with the installation & implementation of building automation systems and mechanical/HVAC projects.

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:

$98,200.00 - $177,870.00
