Job Title: PLC Controls Engineer II
Location: Mason, OH
Duration: Contract
Rate: $45–50/hr
Work Authorization: US Citizen only

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced PLC Controls Engineer II to lead automation projects for material handling systems. The role involves PLC programming, electrical controls design, commissioning, testing, and leading projects from design through customer acceptance.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 4+ years of Controls Engineering experience
  • Leadership experience (Project Lead/PM/Team Lead/Supervisor)
  • 85–90% travel across the US (2–3 week assignments)
  • Strong PLC programming experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Beckhoff
  • Experience with VFDs, HMI, AutoCAD Electrical, Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), networking, scanners, and machine vision
  • Hands-on experience with Studio 5000, Logix 5000, FactoryTalk View, RSLinx, Ignition, AutoCAD, and related controls software
  • Experience in eCommerce/material handling automation

Responsibilities:

  • Lead controls engineering projects for material handling systems
  • Develop, test, and commission PLC/HMI applications
  • Review electrical drawings and AutoCAD layouts
  • Perform FAT, UAT, and onsite commissioning
  • Coordinate project schedules, documentation, and customer deliverables

Travel & Schedule:

  • 90% travel across the US
  • Typical travel: 2–3 weeks per assignment
  • Travel notice may be same day
  • Expenses reimbursed
  • Flexible shifts based on customer project schedules (days, evenings, or overnight)
