Controls Engineer

Direct Hire | Minneapolis, MN | $100k - $120k

Seeking a Controls Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to support automation projects with a focus on PLC programming, system configuration, and data integration. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on programming, working with databases, and supporting systems across multiple customer sites.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs
  • Support integration between control systems and databases (SQL)
  • Work with software tools, including C# for system functionality and data handling
  • Assist with system commissioning and startup at customer sites
  • Troubleshoot controls and automation issues both remotely and onsite
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to ensure successful project execution

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of controls engineering or automation experience
  • Experience with PLC/HMI programming (Rockwell preferred)
  • Working knowledge of SQL databases and C#
