Job Summary:

The Company is looking for a bi-lingual (Japanese/English) Controls Engineer toย join our Thermal Engineering team. The Controls Engineer will use their knowledge in controlย systems, automation, and instrumentation to optimize industrial processes, enhance operationalย efficiency, ensure safety and reliability, and drive technological innovation across variousย processes. This position will use their Japanese/English bilingual language skills toย communicate with global teams for technology strategies and alignment.

The Controls Engineer Will:

- Develop control system architectures, including hardware and software components, basedย on project requirements and specifications.ย 

- Design and implement control algorithms, such as PID controllers, state-space controllers, or advanced control techniques, to achieve desired system performance.ย 

-ย Write, debug, and test control software, including PLC programs, HMI applications.ย 

-ย Diagnose and troubleshoot control system issues, identify root causes of problems, andย implement corrective actions to ensure reliable operation.

- Stay updated with advancements in control system technologies, industry trends, and bestย practices through self-directed learning, training programs, and participation in professionalย organizations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

- 3+ years experience equipment engineering in a controls engineer function.

- Must be proficient in both spoken and written Japanese and English

- Must possess a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, collaborative abilities,ย and a commitment to continuous learning to design and implement innovative controlย solutions that meet the needs of diverse industries and applications.

- Ability to adapt to new PLC and automation systems

- Good project management skills, including multi-tasking, prioritizing, managing timeย effectively. Must have ability to diagnose and troubleshoot fundamental technical issues and provideย step-by-step technical help.

- Good listening, verbal, and written communication, along with presentation skills.
