We're hiring an Industrial Engineering Intern!
Our Clean Mobility Division is looking for an Industrial Engineering Intern for its manufacturing facility in Toledo, OH to assist the Production Controls and Logistics Manager with inventory management, freight control, internal auditing, and cost saving projects.
Your mission, roles and responsibilities
This job will require you to work on a variety of Industrial Engineering related projects that include:
• Inventory Management
• Plant JNI (Just Needed Inventory) analysis to determine if current inventory parameters are correct or can be improved
• Packaging Optimization
• Pack Density study & right sizing components to tote/containers
• Inventory accuracy
• SAP master data study
• Shopfloor accuracy analysis
• Cost savings project(s)
• Freight Savings Project
• Analyze fill rate of containers and packaging
Your profile and competencies to succeed
The ideal candidate
To succeed in this position, you will ideally have:
• Enrolled in a supply chain, logistics, STEM, Mathematics, Physics or industrial engineering Bachelor's or Master's degree program or equivalent
• Junior, Senior or Masters status preferred
• Flexibility and understanding that process changes may be needed
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills. Ability to work with all levels of the organization
• A positive attitude and optimistic mindset
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and SAP
