Shift: Full Time flexible with school schedule 


Job Purpose:

Under the direction of the Service Manager, the Youth Apprentice will be assigned to various duties in the Service Department that interacts, participates and assists the effective operation of the shop. This position is part of the Skills for the Future Wisconsin Youth Apprenticeship Program

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Honor Commitments:

  • Complete the checklist of competencies associated with the Diesel Technician Pathway checklist.
  • Comply with all program requirements and company policies, demonstrating reliability and accountability.

Create Positive Experiences:

  • Treat customers in a diplomatic and courteous manner, ensuring a positive interaction and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist other technicians on jobs to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the team's success.

Foster Lifelong Learning:

  • Show a desire to learn the business and grow within the organization, actively seeking knowledge and skill development.
  • Participate in training and educational opportunities provided by the company.

Exhibit Pioneering Spirit:

  • Display initiative and willingness to take on new tasks and challenges, supporting the team and improving personal proficiency.
  • Assist in various tasks to support and increase technician proficiency and efficiency, demonstrating a proactive attitude.

Demonstrate Good Stewardship:

  • Support the overall efficiency of the service department by assisting with various tasks and learning proper maintenance and repair techniques.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 16 years of age
  • Candidates selected to the Youth Apprentice Program must participate in the State of Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development Youth Apprenticeship Program (DWD-YAP).
