Job description

We are seeking an experienced, licensed Journeyman Electrical Foreman to lead our night shift field operations. This role requires a proven leader who can manage job sites, maintain strict safety standards, and run projects efficiently with zero hand-holding.

Note: This position is strictly for licensed Journeyman Electricians; apprentices will not be considered for this opening.

Key Responsibilities

  • Field Leadership: Direct, coordinate, and supervise night-shift electrical installations and control system integration.
  • Blueprint & Schematics: Read and interpret complex electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, control layouts, and project specs.
  • Quality & Safety Assurance: Ensure all work strictly complies with the NEC, local codes, and company safety protocols.
  • Site Management: Coordinate daily task execution, material needs, and workflow to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve job site conflicts, troubleshooting electrical/control issues in real-time.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • License: Valid Journeyman Electrician License (State of Michigan preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years as a Journeyman, with prior foreman/supervisory experience required.
  • Shift Availability: Must be fully committed to working night shifts (Sunday night through Thursday night, 8:00 PM – 4:00 AM).
  • Technical Skills: Strong background in commercial/industrial electrical work, conduit bending, control wiring, and panel installations.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage job sites independently and enforce safety and quality standards.
  • Logistics: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
