As a trusted advisor to ourcustomersyou will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service

Howyou willdo it

  • Apprentices will be trained and will perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.

  • Apprentices willparticipatein certifiedtrainingthrough Service Technical Academy that will build skill sets toprovidecontinued opportunities for recognition, monetaryrewardsand advancement.

  • Through coaching and mentorship, apprentices will develop skills to troubleshoot and resolve both technical issues as well as customer needs.

  • You will keep JCI, contractors, and the customer advised of job progress and issues as needed.

  • You will meet attendance requirements for required Union training for first year.

  • Provide recommendations and solutions to ensurefacilityis running efficiently to include upselling opportunities.

  • Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

What we look for

  • Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.

  • 1+ years of industry experience or experience in servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.

  • Generally required knowledge includes mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipmentinstallationand servicing techniques

  • Effective interpersonal skills toproperly representJohnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.

  • Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical mechanical HVAC equipment on a job site

  • Self-starter withabilityto eventually work independently.

  • Prioritize safety in all forms.

  • This position requires a valid driver's license.

Preferred

  • 1-2 years of trade school or college in a technical emphasis.

Pay Range: $24.30 - $43.74 hourly ratedeterminedby the CBA/rate sheet. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
