Reporting directly to the Director of Product Line CTG, this role serves as a hands-on finance business partner responsible for executing budgeting, cost analysis, and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

Product Line Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial processes for the Product Line, including preparation of variance analysis on COGS, gross margin, and operating expenses versus plan and prior year.
  • Build and maintain financial models and reporting packages that track Product Line KPIs including profitability, cost of goods sold, gross margin, and return on investment.
  • Prepare and present financial results, and budget-to-actual variance commentary to the Director of Product Line CTG and Product Line leadership.
  • Analyze product-level profitability and cost structures to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities across the CTG portfolio.
  • Support the Director in developing the annual operating plan (AOP) and rolling forecasts by coordinating input from sales, operations, and supply chain business partners.

Cost Accounting & Standard Costing

  • Maintain and validate standard costs for finished goods, components, and sub-assemblies in SAP, ensuring accuracy during annual cost rolls and mid-year revisions.
  • Perform detailed purchase price variance (PPV), manufacturing variance, and overhead absorption analysis; investigate root causes and communicate findings to operational stakeholders.
  • Support the new product introduction (NPI) process by developing cost estimates and financial models for new Product Line SKUs and product platform decisions.
  • Coordinate production order settlement, WIP review, and inventory valuation processes during period close.
  • Partner with supply chain and procurement on material cost assumptions, landed cost analysis, and commodity risk exposure within the CTG product portfolio.

Business Partnership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a day-to-day finance business partner to Product Line managers, operations leads, and commercial teams, providing financial guidance that supports data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with sales and product management teams on pricing analysis, margin bridge reviews, and deal-level profitability assessments.
  • Liaise with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure financial alignment across the full value chain, from raw material procurement through finished goods delivery.
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, concise communication tailored for both finance and non-finance audiences.

Governance, Controls & Compliance

  • Maintain compliance with Bosch accounting policies, internal controls standards, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements within areas of responsibility.
  • Coordinate responses to internal and external audit inquiries, ensuring timely and well-documented submissions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within financial reporting, cost accounting, and planning workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Ensure data integrity within SAP and other financial reporting systems; serve as a key user and subject matter resource for the controlling team.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive finance, product controlling, and manufacturing controlling experience
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role within a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in SAP (CO/MM modules preferred); advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; Power BI or similar reporting tools a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 10-15% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the HVAC, home appliance, or industrial manufacturing sector.
  • Strong working knowledge of cost accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, and manufacturing finance principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with operational and commercial leaders in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline.
  • Familiarity with Bosch global finance standards, reporting frameworks, and internal control policies.
