Job Title: SAP S/4HANA Controlling (CO) Consultant
Location: Houston, TX 77017 (Onsite/Hybrid – flexible for the right candidate)
Duration: 12 Months (Start: July 29, 2026 – End: Jan 29, 2027)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Controlling Consultant to lead the design, implementation, and support of management accounting processes. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP CO modules, with a strong focus on product costing, cost object controlling, and integration with other core business functions. This role requires a blend of functional configuration skills and the ability to collaborate across finance and operational teams.

Required Experience
Overall Experience: 10+ years of relevant SAP Finance and Controlling experience.

S/4HANA Experience: 4+ years of hands-on SAP S/4HANA Controlling experience.

Project Execution: Minimum of 2 end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation, rollout, or major enhancement projects (preferred).

Core Competencies: Expert-level knowledge in Product Costing, Cost Object Controlling, Standard Cost Estimation, Variance Analysis, WIP, Settlement, Material Ledger, and Actual Costing.

Essential Skills & Responsibilities


1. Functional Configuration & Architecture

Configure and support core CO processes including Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profit Center Accounting, Allocations, Planning, Budgeting, and Period-End Closing.

Leverage deep knowledge of the S/4HANA Finance architecture (Universal Journal, integrated FI-CO postings) to ensure real-time margin visibility and accurate management reporting.

Define and maintain Costing Variants, Cost Component Structures, and Overhead Calculation methodologies.

2. Integration & Technical Acumen

Ensure seamless integration between CO and other modules: FI, MM, SD, PP, PS, EWM, TM, and Asset Accounting.

Prepare detailed Functional Specifications for RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).

Validate solution designs against SAP best practices, recommending standard processes where possible.

3. Reporting & Analytics

Utilize SAP Fiori applications, Embedded Analytics, and CDS-based reporting to build Management Reporting Dashboards and support Profitability Analysis (CO-PA/Margin Analysis).

4. Project Delivery & Documentation

Lead requirement gathering and Fit-to-Standard workshops.

Prepare comprehensive documentation including Business Process Design Documents, Configuration Rationale, Test Scripts, and Training Materials.

Support Cutover planning, Mock Cutover cycles, and Hypercare stabilization.

5. Testing & Support

Execute Unit, Integration, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing.

Manage Defect Triage and resolve Month-End Close issues.

Provide L3 Production Support and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
