Who you are:
The Controller will define the process and implement the infrastructure/systems needed to maintain financial integrity and support substantial future growth across the company. They will continue to build and manage effective and streamlined administrative financial systems within the existing company structure with a focus on strategic planning, budget control, forecasting and reviewing P&L reports, and overall financial evaluation.
Who you'll report to:
  • Chief Operating Officer (COO)

What you'll do:
  • Responsible for oversight of all day-to-day finance and accounting operations to ensure timely and accurate financial information with appropriate internal controls.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports monthly, quarterly, and annually in accordance with company needs/processes in an effort to inform decision making and action initiatives.
  • Manager vendors with a financial perspective.
  • Track and manage all revenue streams to ensure process compliance with proper updates to appropriate team members.
  • Prepare cash flow projections based on existing balances (cash, receivable, lines of credit, account payable, commitments, budget items, and most recent knowledge of operating plans).
  • Work closely with COO to manage the annual budgeting process, based upon most recent data and information available including preparing projections from departmental operating plans and conducting financial review and analysis to present future budget scenarios.
  • Provide financial input to long-term strategic plan development.
  • Review and manage, establishing as needed, new internal systems and controls, operations, processes, and financial procedures to ensure the integrity of financial information and reporting.
  • Communicate/provide upper management orally, in writing, through reports and visual representation financial updates and overviews, supporting a strong and solid culture of financial oversight with respect to overall company fiscal health.
  • Perform any other job related tasks as assigned.

What we need from you:
  • Minimum of 5 years recent successful financial management experience in hospitality or similar industry.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to extract meaning from numbers and present analysis clearly and concisely to people with varying degrees of financial knowledge.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise with Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office applications. Restaurant 365 experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to form strong relationships with staff in a supportive and confidential role.
  • Strong critical thinking and creative problem solving skills; able to balance attention to detail with big-picture thinking.
  • Highly motivated and extremely organized with ability to juggle competing priorities in an ever changing environment. Must be flexible and adaptive and possess the ability to collaborate with any member of our organization as business may dictate.
