Purpose

The Manager - Power Control will support the Power Controller organization by leading strategic initiatives, driving business process improvements, and coordinating key accounting, reporting, and operational projects across the Power energy portfolio.

This role serves as a trusted partner to the Power Controller team and will help bridge finance, accounting, operations, and technology organizations to deliver scalable processes, strengthen reporting capabilities, support business integration efforts, and advance automation and digital transformation initiatives.

The position offers broad exposure to power operations, financial reporting, business planning, internal controls, and enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Initiatives & Transformation

  • Lead and coordinate special projects sponsored by the Power Controller organization.
  • Drive implementation of process improvement, automation, and digital transformation initiatives, including the adoption of emerging technologies and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Develop project plans, track execution milestones, and provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency, and enhance data quality.

Business Integration & Operational Support

  • Support integration of new assets, businesses, and organizational changes into existing accounting and reporting processes.
  • Coordinate activities across accounting, finance, operations, tax, treasury, and other business functions to ensure successful execution of key initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of scalable processes, controls, and reporting frameworks to support business growth.
  • Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new systems, tools, and reporting capabilities.

Financial Reporting & Control Support

  • Support monthly close, quarterly reporting, forecasting, and planning processes as needed.
  • Assist leadership in reviewing financial results, performance trends, and key business metrics.
  • Coordinate preparation of analyses and presentations for management discussions and executive reviews.
  • Support internal and external audit activities and process-control enhancement initiatives.

Business Partnering

  • Develop strong relationships throughout the organization to support execution of strategic priorities.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and centralized finance organizations.
  • Facilitate communication and alignment among multiple teams involved in complex initiatives.
  • Support leadership in addressing emerging business challenges and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in accounting, finance, consulting, business operations, project management, or related disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting concepts.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP.
  • Experience with process improvement, automation, system implementations, or digital transformation initiatives preferred.
  • CPA, MBA, or PMP certification considered a plus.
