Job Summary
The Controller supports the Controller in managing the day-to-day operations of the corporate accounting department. This includes supervising accounting staff, preparing financial reports, maintaining internal controls, assisting with audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic financial planning.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly and annual financial statements.

  • Prepare monthly GAAP financial statements and private equity financial statement reconciliation.

  • Assist with internal monthly financial deliverables.

  • Supervise and provide guidance to corporate accounting staff.

  • Oversee general ledger functions and ensure accuracy of journal entries and account reconciliations.

  • Coordinate consolidations of all legal entities including foreign subsidiary and foreign sales branches.

  • Liaise with foreign accounting firms to facilitate monthly and annual closings, tax return preparation and ensure adequate funding for various foreign branches.

  • Prepare reconciliations/support for the annual financial statement audit and liaise with external audit firm, as necessary.

  • Provide balance sheet and cash flow statements for the annual budget and periodic forecasts.

  • Improve and maintain accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and GAAP compliance.

  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses as required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance - CPA REQUIRED.

  • 10+ years of accounting experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

  • A combination of public accounting and private industry experience is preferred.

  • Experience working in a private equity financial reporting setting.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

  • Familiarity with Oracle or another company-wide ERP system.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Pay range for this position is $175,000-$205,000
