Job Description About the Role Our client is seeking a strategic, growth-minded Controller to help lead the organization's financial strategy during a period of rapid growth. This position is on track to become the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) within approximately one year following the planned retirement of the current CFO. The Controller will oversee financial operations, support long-term planning, partner with leadership, and play an important role in the continued success of the company's employee ownership program.

Key Responsibilities Manage a team consisting of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including participating in the hiring of an additional AR team member. Serve as the primary point of contact for the company's outsourced IT provider. Oversee financial accounting, including month-end close and financial reporting.

Support financial projections related to the company's ESOP, including future cash needs and share repurchases. Partner with engineering and operations on job costing within a job shop manufacturing environment. Evaluate and lead the selection of a new ERP system within the next five years.

Participate in quarterly Board meetings and contribute new ESOP-related ideas. Partner on financial planning related to key commodity purchases. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

3+ years of experience in a financial leadership role. Experience in a precision metal machining, fabrication, or heavy manufacturing environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with employees at all levels, from the shop floor to the board room.

Strong technical skills with ERP software and advanced Excel. Strategic, collaborative, analytical, and problem-solving mindset. Strong work ethic and personality.

Preferred MBA, CPA, or CMA. Hands-on experience managing finance or accounting within an ESOP company. Benefits Overview Direct hire opportunity.
