Our organization is seeking an experienced Controller to join a highly successful finance team with a unique opportunity: the right candidate will be positioned for promotion to Associate CFO.

This is not a traditional Controller position. We are looking for a proven leader who can immediately contribute at a strategic level while helping shape the future of our financial operations and organizational growth.

  • Clearly defined path to Associate CFO for the right candidate
  • High-performing accounting and finance team already in place

Reporting directly to the Associate CFO, the Controller serves as a key financial leader responsible for General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Cash Management, and Capital Asset Management. The position plays a critical role in financial reporting, strategic planning, operational improvement, staff development, and organizational decision-making.

This role extends well beyond technical accounting. We are seeking a leader who can develop people, drive projects, improve processes, build relationships across the organization, and communicate effectively with executives, physicians, board members, auditors, bankers, and other external stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will bring:

  • Significant hospital finance and accounting leadership experience
  • Proven success leading high-performing teams
  • Strong project management and organizational leadership skills
  • Deep understanding of healthcare accounting, financial reporting, reimbursement, budgeting, and audit processes
  • Experience presenting financial information to executive leadership and governing boards

  • Desire and capability to grow into a senior executive finance leadership role

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA
  • MBA, MHA, or other advanced degree
  • Experience serving as a Controller, Assistant CFO, Associate CFO, or equivalent senior financial leadership role within a healthcare organization

Join Us
